Prima Poker

Prima Poker isn't a poker room, but rather a network of poker rooms operating a network using the same software (with minor visual changes) in all of its rooms and sharing game tables across the network. Because all Prima Poker rooms share tables there exists a solid base of active real money players online at any time of day no matter which of the Prima Poker rooms you use.

The Prima Poker network is owned by Microgaming a software company that has developed the software used on many traditional online casino sites. The result is that many Prima Poker licensees also operate an online casino and have added the poker room to the casino for their patrons. While a variety of players of all skill levels use the sites, Prima Poker rooms tend to have less experienced poker patrons than other poker rooms because a larger percentage of the poker players are coming from casinos than at many other poker rooms. A lot of Prima Poker players play a loose game, a fact that can be used to your advantage if you play cautiously.

Prima Poker has a wide range of sit and go poker tournaments to choose from, the tables can sit 2, 6, or 10 players and come in no limit, pot limit, and limit varieties. Prima Poker also offers Turbo, Super Turbo, and Stack Attack poker variations where the blinds double faster and/or players start off with double the normal chip amounts. The tournament offering menu on a Prima Poker site seems a little overwhelming at first because of the wide selection and variations of the games offered. But, if you take your time you should be able to find the type of game you're looking for.

The software offered by Prima Poker works better than average. The download is fast and easy and results in a simple looking poker table that gets the job done without Avatars and other clutter that slows down game play. The Prima Poker sites offer easy to find games with a good selection of game types and limit options. Because each Prima Poker room is independent each has its own unique 'skin', some of these will look better to you than others. Also some poker rooms offer themes in an attempt to differentiate themselves from other poker rooms one or more of these may appeal to you.

Overall, Prima Poker is a good network of poker rooms. They work well and provide a good poker experience to poker players, at least those who don't need fancy graphics to enjoy their time at the tables.
